Blake Beavan
Latest Update News About Beavan is a 6’7" control artist currently pitching in AA Frisco. In 110 innings, he has allowed just 12 bases on balls. He was a first-round pick in 2007 that lost some speed on his fastball in his transition to the pros.
Seattle seems to like tall, athletic pitchers that maybe are not there yet but have loads of potential. Beavan has a two-seam and four-seam fastball along with a slider. I’m in no position to project Beavan's future, but if he regains velocity and maintains his control, Beavan should be better than Randy Johnson with Sandy Koufax’s control and Roger Clemens' trainer.
