Latest News Update AboutDan Haren: The baseball non-waiver trade deadline is a week away and for many teams trying to make the playoffs, a fan's day-to-day question changes from "what's the score?" to "who are they gonna get?" that in mind, Foxsports.com writer and Free Press alumnus Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Tigers are involved in the pursuit of Diamondbacks starting pitcher Dan Haren.
Haren, who began his career in St. Louis, made a name for himself, and his first All-Star team, with Oakland. He's having a so-so season this year in Arizona, posting a 7-8 record with a 4.60 ERA, but he's third all of baseball with 141 strikeouts. He also started against the Tigers in Game 4 of the 2006 American League Championship Series at Comerica Park.
