Latest News Update About Junior Seau: Junior Seau drove his car off a cliff this morning, can now confirm Gossip Cop.
Law enforcement sources say Gossip Cop, there was an emergency call at 8:42 am on Monday.
Firefighters responded and found the white Cadillac SUV that drove off a cliff. Lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as Junior Seau.
Earlier conflicting reports on the accuracy of the accident came from the confusion within the local police department.
Seau was arrested on Monday morning in San Diego on suspicion of domestic violence.
Seau spent most of his career as a star linebacker with the San Diego Chargers.
According to 10News in San Diego, Seau, who was accused of assault with injury crime, marriage, drove his Cadillac Escalade off a cliff in Karlovy Vary, after being released from custody, Carlsbad police.
In addition, a witness called 10News around 9 pm to report that she saw Seau drive a car off a cliff in front of her near Carlsbad Boulevard and Solamar Drive.
10News also published a photo that seems to indicate Seau’s SUV at the bottom of a cliff near the beach while rescue workers attend the scene.
Seau was pulled from the vehicle with only cuts and bruises and taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, police said.
Seau played his final NFL season in 2009, the Patriots, ending a 20-year career.
