Latest Update About Lindsay Lohan: “I Only Borrowed The Stolen Necklace!”: Lindsay, you in danger, gurl: Only weeks after Lindsay Lohan sashayed away from three months of rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic, the actress is under investigation from swiping a pricey necklace from a boutique near her Venice home.The shopkeeper claims Lindsay came into her establishment two weeks and walked out a few moments later with a $5,000 necklace without paying a dime. There’s even survellience camera footage which seems to support the claim. Lohan doesn’t deny leaving the store with the jewelry, but she says she was given the piece on loan and calls the ongoing theft investigation just one big misunderstanding.

Los Angeles Police Officer Bruce Borihanh says the $2,500 piece of jewelry was reported stolen on Jan. 22, roughly three weeks after the actress was released from court-ordered rehab. The necklace was turned over to detectives on Tuesday, hours after police obtained a search warrant for Lohan’s home.
TMZ.com writes: “Lindsay was in the jewelry store in Venice, CA on January 22 and claims the necklace was loaned to her. Lindsay claims she gave it back to a stylist at some point thereafter but the stylist neglected to return it on time.”
Lohan, mind you, remains on probation after pleading guily to DUI charges in 2007. Any scrapes with the law could leave the ex-child star facing jail time.
