Latest News Update About Opjems: OP Jindal Group is once again announcing the OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship (OPJEMS) for the Year 2010. The scholarships are aimed at encouraging and promoting academic and leadership excellence and would be awarded to meritorious students of the leading Engineering and Management institutes in the country.
OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship (OPJEM) Plan In India 2010-2011.
Eligibility Criterion : From the identified 31 institutes (22 Engineering and 9 Management), the top twenty rank holder students will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Management Institutes
1. Top 20 students from 1st year batch based on entrance score.2. Top 20 students from 2nd year batch based on performance score in the 1st year.Engineering Institutes * 1. 2 toppers from each batch from the following streams for all 4 years.
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering
2. Top 12 students from each batch (any specialization or stream) for all 4 years.
For instance
1. Mr. Kumar could be one of the top 2 students from Civil Engineering and also be the one of the top 12 students for his batch. In this case, his name should appear only under the 1st category. For the 2nd category, another top student from his batch should be identified to meet the number of 12.2. Mr. Kumar could be one of the top 2 students from mechanical engineering but not be one of the top 12 students for his batch. In this case, his name should appear once in the list (as a part of category 1)3. Mr. Kumar could be 1 of the top 12 students in his batch but not belong to civil, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical streams. In this case, his name should appear once in the list ( as a part of category 2)Dates: Last date for sending nomination based on eligibility criteria August 25th 2010Special conditions: * In case two students from a particular batch hold the same rank, both will be eligible for stage 2: the online test.
