Reign Of Assassins Movie.

Latest News Update About Reign Of Assassins: SET in ancient China, this movie tells the story of Drizzle (Kelly Lin), a skilled assassin, who finds herself in possession of a mystical Buddhist monk’s remains.
She begins a quest to return the remains to its rightful resting place, putting herself in mortal danger.
The Wheel King (Wang) is also after the remains which holds an ancient power-wielding secret. He sends a team of assassins comprising Lei Bin (Shawn Yue), Zhanqing (Barbie Shu) and the Magician (Leon Dai) after Drizzle.
To hide from the assassins, she seeks out the legendary Doctor Li to give her a new face and identity – and soon Drizzle becomes Zeng Jing (Yeoh).
Living a peaceful life in Beijing as a civilian, she meets and falls in love with Zheng Ah Sheng (played by the very versatile Korean actor Jung Woo Sung), a naive local messenger whom she eventually marries. But soon her past comes back to haunt her when the three assassins finally catch up with her.
The story itself is simple but the way it is portrayed throughout the film is compelling. In fact, there are no boring moments, despite some slow-moving scenes. Most of the time, you will find yourself on the edge of your seat trying to figure out how the plot will unveil.
The pan-Asian cast provides some stupendous acting in this film, especially Yeoh with her ballerina-like movements and her subtle but intimidating stares. She handles all the emotional scenes very well too.
As for the supporting actors, they were all amazing especially Wang as the ruthless leader with a dark secret. Yue also shines as the noodle-loving assassin.
You may find the sweet and high-pitched voice of Lin, who dubbed for Yeoh, very unnatural at first but you will get used to it after 15 minutes. The dubbing for the rest of the non-Mandarin speaking cast was very convincing and sometimes you tend to forget that they are not speaking their own lines.
Choreography plays an important role in this film and it is done pretty well. The ingenious weapons used by the characters are certainly the highlight of the film.
Though the plot lacks a convincing timeline and some characters are not quite well-developed, this film is still a must-watch for all wuxia film fans.
